KIPHIRE, May 27 (MExN): The Kiphire District Task Force for COVID-19 members held a meeting at DPDB hall on May 26 with Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Sarita Yadav, IAS as the chair. 


While deliberating on returnees, Medical Department advised that COVID-19 incubation period is zero to a fortnight. Therefore, persons released from institution quarantine should be followed by obligatory fortnight in home quarantine. It was decided that male returnees be sent to respective quarantine in Seyongchung and Pungro Quarantine, and females to be placed at the institution quarantine at Kiphire town. 


SP Erie Kajire thanked civil societies and public for co-operating with the Department through which law and order situation in the district is smooth so far. 


As appraised by Veterinary Department, the members decided to control free forms of kineticism of animals especially canines felines and poultries in town/villages, as a component of the quantifications taken in containment of Covid-19. An order is to be issued by Administration to controlling it by way of chaining or caged. Owners ward authorities /village authorities to take responsibility. 


Supply Department apprised that so far 13 villages under Pungro have distributed food grains from PMGKAY and normal supply will commence from May 27 onwards. Food grains are to be distributed to migrant workers under 'Atma Nirbhar Bharat Programme'. So far, 52 people have been identified out 132 migrant workers as reported by Inspector, Supply Department Kiphire.
