With the arrival of the first batch of returnees District Task Force (DTF) Kiphire members led by Deputy Commissioner and Chairman Sarita Yadav, IAS, Kiphire visited quarantine centres at Zisaji Presidency College and DADU girls hostel to check on how the returnees welfare.
During the visit, the DC Kiphire informed the returnees that district administration was doing everything possible to make the stay as comfortable as possible. She urged upon the returnees to make use of helpline no provided by the district administration, police and medical for any help saying that we are there to help and assist you in any way possible. Requesting returnees to use social media with caution, she asked them to first contact administration for any grievances for the welfare of all.
As member of the DTF, Addl SP Thsürhosue Kajiri during the visit called upon the returnees to cooperate with the Police and medical department till their stay at the quarantine centres adding that staying in quarantine does not meant you are affected, it is just not to take any chance for your own safety and for the safety of your family members and society at large. He expressed hope that returnees will have a blessed stay at the quarantine centre stating that returnees has nothing to worry as we are all together in fight against COVID-19.
United Sangtam Likhüm Pümji, General Secretary, P Achumse Sangtam encouraged the returnees to extend cooperation with the district administration, Police and medical as they are all working to keep you safe and healthy. He encouraged the returnees to use their time at quarantine centre by staying positive as good mental health was important in fight against the disease.
Meanwhile DTF members along with USLP, ESH and AST visited quarantine centre at Loyola Higher Secondary School to assist the facility and preparedness at the school.
Shops and market to
open from Mon-Sat
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Sarita Yadav IAS has informed the public of Kiphire district that all shops and daily market will open from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm with immediate effect till further order. Salons, hotels, restaurants and eateries shall continue to remain closed as usual, the DC stated. The shopkeepers and public have been informed to strictly maintain social distancing and other COVID-19 precautionary measures.
