Kiphire, June 9 (DIPR): The monthly meeting of Kiphire District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) was held at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall, on June 8 under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB Kiphire, Sedevikho Khro.
Chairman welcomed all the members present including new member E.E. Roads & Bridges, Kisheto Sema. The Chairman also introduced himself to the members as this was his first DPDB meeting in Kiphire. Noting that most of the officers are based either at Dimapur or Kohima, the Chairman stated that the members cannot be totally expected to be in the station throughout the month, as responsible Officer of the district, he advises the members to be present at least for 50% of the working days. He also warned the members that simply making themselves present in the DPDB meeting and going out of station cannot be tolerated as the absence of the Officers hampers the functioning of the Government machinery of the district.
After reviewing the last meeting minutes, the Board discussed on registration of Kiphire Tuensang Sumi Students Union and has decided to recommend to the Government for necessary action. Proposal for approval of Reverted LADP 2015-16 fund from MGNREGA submitted by 59/60 Assembly constituencies were discussed. The amount could not be utilised under MGNREGA due to technical reasons. The Board decided to approve the proposal amounting to Rs. 10 lakh each and forward to the planning department for necessary action.
The Board gave away prizes for best attendees in the DPDB meeting during 2015-16, namely BM (NSCB), Vizol Kera, SDO(P), Hionwachu, BDO Langshen, Longmatra, BDO Kiphire ,Hongan Chingkhong.
