Kiphire DPDB monthly meeting held

Morung Express News Kiphire | April 5   The monthly meeting of the Kiphire District Planning and Development Board was held on April 5 at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner with A. Chumremo Odyuo DC and Vice chairman DPDB with head of department and officers.   Addressing the meeting, DC welcomed the gathering and reviewed the last meeting minutes. He highlighted about the LED distribution at Fakim, which is now the second LED village in the country under the initiative of the Kiphire Wildlife division.  

Addressing the meeting, Hemant Baskar IFS wild life warden Kiphire appealed the board members to disseminate proper information to villagers in case of wild life human conflict and asked the members to inform the office if there is any human wild life conflict in the district.   While giving the presentation of the department, Thomas Station superintend NST highlight the activities of the department and said the department has suspended three services in the district due to bad road and other problems. Taking part in the discussion, the DC suggested if the department can procure small vehicles it may be beneficial for places where the road is not viable for big vehicles.   Wennyei Konyak, ADC Pungro briefed the house of the status of Pungro sub-division which qualifies the need to have Sub Division Planning Development Board (SDPDB). He also asked the medical department to provide mosquito net as the sub division is prone to sickness related to mosquito. The house also welcomed Ngurthanthuangi SDEO and S Aphak Konyak Dy Commandant VG to the board. The Board approved opening of Private College at Pungro.
