Kiphire, June 10 (MExN): The Loyola Higher Secondary School (LHSS), Kiphire held its alumni day cum felicitation for HSLC toppers on June 10.
During the occasion, Thsatangpa Sangtam who secured Top 6 position in the recent HSLC examination was felicitated.
In his speech, Thsatangpa thanked the school principal, teachers and the gathering for organising the programme and also encouraged all ‘to keep striving for better and never give up on one’s dream.’
Rev Fr Philip Magh, Principal, LHSS described Thsatangpa as sincere, hardworking, dedicated, trustworthy and a model whom others can look up to learn and grow. On behalf of the school, the principal also expressed gratitude to Thsatangpa for choosing to stay further in LHSS for his higher secondary studies.
‘The day holds a special place for Loyolians,’ Rev Fr Magh said while thanking the LHSS alumni association for all their cooperation and support throughout the journey. “I am sure it is good to be alive here and now seeing your old friends and buddies. And I understand what it means to be back to your old days. It is a blessing not everyone can witness,” he said.
DC Kiphire John Tsulise who is also an alumnus of LHSS urged the students, both permanent and non-permanent resident of Kiphire district to contribute a little towards the school in one’s own capacity to let the school shine.
Sharing on behalf of LHSS alumni association, Tsalichum S Sangtam said, “Create memories because they will be your best friend; It will bring you joy, strengthen you and encourage in the old days.”
The LHSS alumni association also felicitated Thsatangpa and his parents with certificate and cash.
