Loyola Higher Secondary School 2023 sports week kicked off today with DC Kiphire, John Tsulie Sangtam gracing the occasion as the special guest.
Exhorting the students, the DC dwelt on the definition of success, goals, cooperation, discipline and being a true sports person. He said to be successful in life; one doesn’t have to be only government officers, an engineer or an administrator. He said success is measured by pursuance of one’s goals sincerely and achieving them.
The DC also espoused confidence that there are lots of potential sports person among the students and hoped that Loyola school will produce national and international players in the days to come.
Urging the students to work in cooperation towards one another as a team and learn to understand each other in all decisions and planning, he said these attitude and attributes makes a true sports person.
Father Phillip Magh, principal LHSS appreciated the DC, who despite his busy schedule, graced the school’s sports week 2023. The principal encouraged the students to have firm confidence and keep working hard in life no matter what the odds are and eventually success will be assured accordingly.
The act of declaration of the annual games & sports was made by the special guest. The sports week will continue from June 21-23.
