The Department of Land Resources (LRD), Kiphire, today distributed Agri tools under PMKSY-WDC 2.0 to projected villages in the presence of Temsuwati Longkumer NCS, DC Kiphire at Hopongkyu Hall, Kiphire town.
Giving away the tools, DC Kiphire impressed upon the farmers to make good use of the assistance and help provided by the department. He said that these value additions from the government department should be helpful in production and should be beneficial for the community at large. He appreciated the department for the taking initiative for the welfare of the farmers and providing necessary assistance to farmers of Kiphire in particular.
Further, the DC Kiphire handed over the key of power triller to Chumusu, a young progressive farmer from Tethuyo village.
Highlighting the department activities under the scheme, Lipichem, DPO, Kiphire said that nearly two tonnes of onion is been produce at Tethuyo village alone this year which has greatly contributed to the growth of agriculture sector in the area. He encouraged the farmers to make use of the help provided by the department to enhance their productivity and income.
