Kiphire District Planning Development Board (DPDB) monthly meeting for the month of July was held at DC Conference Hall Kiphire on July 5. Chairing the meeting, DC & Vice Chairman DPDB, M Shayung Phom welcomed the new probationary EACs and new officers to the Board and encouraged the officers to regularly attend DPDB meeting. Giving a brief report with regard to creation of EAC Hq at Menthuyo which was taken up in the last DPDB, EAC Sangpangchung Longkumer, Longmatra town informed that proposal could not be submitted as some documents are yet to be submitted. In this regard, the DC asked the EAC to procure all necessary documents and forward it to the house in the next DPDB meeting.
On the current status of ‘Aspirational District’, SDO(C) Nyempo Wallim said it has received letter from NITI AYOG where Prime Minister will be holding video conference. The departments should be prepared with all necessary documents as “Kiphire has been doing badly in development sector as per NITI AYOG dash board," she said. Asking officers to be present in station, she expressed her disappointment to those officers who regularly fail to attend meeting. On the funding under ‘Aspirational District’ programme, the SDO(C) stated that the district has not received any fund so far.
For carrying out the proposed Register of Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland (RIIN) Master list, the DC asked the officers and NGOs to extend help and cooperation stating that Officials will be going house to house for registration. Other agendas discussed in the meeting were provision for separate cell for women at District Jail Kiphire. However, the proposed agenda was keep to be taken up in the next DPDB meeting.
