Kiphire prepares for biggest Annual Music Fest

The 7 Assam Rifles, Kiphire is all set to organize one of the biggest Annual Music Fest with the theme 'Connecting Cultures'. The two-day music fest will be held on May 8 and 9 at Helipad Ground, Kiphire. V. Kashiho Sangtam, Minister of Soil &Water Conservation, Geology & Mining will grace the fest as a Special Invitee.  

The fest will bring in exciting and diverse acts such as ENSF Rock beat contest winners Crush & Burn, also 7 Assam Rifles band, Kiphire IRB Band and Shield of Faith will be performing.  

Apart from bands, the fest will feature over 18 solo artists who will be camping at the picturesque upstage overlooking Mt. Saramati. Headliner of the Music Fest will be Sepongla Thonger, Naga Idol finalist 2009 and winner of Eastern Voice Hunt 2013.  

The organizers have informed, “We have spent the entire off-season trying to come up with a festival experience that could one-up the magic we envisioned, that will set the bar high for the future event.”  

The front man of the band Crush & Burn, Leochum said that musicians from Kiphire are blessed to be part of such a special and unique event with a perfect festival ground, surrounded by rolling hills with picturesque views in all directions.  

The 7 AR sources have informed that the “main purpose of Music Fest is to bring people together irrespective of caste, creed, tribes and religion as it is music and peace which brings prosperity.”  

Informing that Nagaland is full of colours in terms of tribes, languages, culture, tradition and food, music is what blends these beautiful cultures together. “Such event if they keep happening, there will only be peace and prosperity and this is the first step to join different communities,” the source added.  

Apart from Music, other attraction to the Annual Music fest will be local indigenous cuisine, cultural folksong and other stalls.
