Kiphire: Kiphire district held a rally with students, women, ward chairmen and NGOs from public ground till traffic point Kiphire with banners and placards with slogans based on ‘National Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Awareness week.’
Dr Tinojungshi Chang SDO (C), addressing the gathering stressed on the importance of water and said that the quality of water determines the quality of life. He asked the gathering to make judicious use of water. Encouraging the gathering to take care of water, the SDO © said, “Water carries many diseases and if we do not take care we will all become victim of it.”
Dr Tino also added that maintaining proper sanitation will help us to avoid outbreak of sickness and said, “It is responsibility of each citizens to take care of our environment and keep the surrounding clean so that we enjoy quality life.”
Er Subongyanger, EE PHED welcomed the gathering, while chemist Tetseo, and IEC consultant Chorise spoke on clean sanitation practices, water and its importance.
