Kiphire, January 23 (MExN): Kiphire Town Council (KTC) on December 14, 2023 through an order recognised Kikhazong as colony within Longya ward Kiphire town. This was granted for the administrative Convenience in the town and should purely be a colony and will continue to function under Longya ward, an order stated.
In a declaration programme on January 22, D Robin, ADC & Administrator Kiphire Town Council (KTC) stressed on maintaining peace and unity among the colony residents in order to bring development to the colony. He appealed to have good relationship with neighbouring colonies and wards.
During the programme, Yangtsali, Chairman Longya ward and Throngseli, Head GB Kiphire town also spoke while Asuthong K Tikhir, GS Longya ward read out a short profile of the colony. Dedicatory prayer was initiated by Chopongkyu, Pastor KTBL while welcome address was said by C Akamba Sangtam, Chairman Kikhazong Colony. Tsayangkyu GB pronounced vote of thanks. The programme was chaired by K Supan Tikhir, Secretary, Kikhazong Colony.
