Kire inspects security measures within Nagaland Zoological Park

Dimapur, June 15 (MExN): The Principal Secretary Environment, Forest & Climate Change L. Kire during a “surprise visit” to Nagaland Zoological Park, expressed apprehension regarding weakening of perimeter wall of the Zoo due to earth cutting adjacent to the zoo wall.  

L. Kire who also holds the charge of DUDA and Rural Development Department inspected various activities especially security measures within the zoo. During his visit on June 15, Kire inspected the conditions of perimeter fencing of the Zoo and developmental activities in the vicinity of the Zoo and reminded the zoo staff to sincerely perform their duty in protection of the park from any illegalities.  

He urged the district administration to take action on the erring villages around the park by stopping all government assistance, if anyone jeopardizes the existence and development of the only Zoological Park in the State.  

Nagaland Zoological Park, Director, Obed Bohovi Swu in a press release mentioned that Kire assured to request the home department to provide adequate police personnel for the security of the park.
