
Kohima, January 19 (DIPR): Kohima Lotha Baptist Church (KLBC) on January 19 organized a special programme where its pastor, Rev Mhathung invoked invoked God’s blessings upon Mhonchumo S. Lotha and Zuchonthung Ovung, who dedicated their lives to serve in church ministry.
Mhonchumo S. Lotha was inducted as Associate Pastor in KLBC. He completed his M. Th from Berean Baptist Bible College Seminary, Bangaluru in the year 2005 and joined as lecturer in Kohima Bible College since then and served for eight years. Mhonchumo S. Lotha who hails from Sanis Village, dedicated his life to the Lord in 1993. He was serving as a deacon in KLBC since 2010.

Zuchonthung Ovung, 29, will be officially inducted as Pastor, North-East Christian fellowship, Nagpur on February 9 during the NBCC Conference at Tseminyu through the Nagaland Mission Movement (NMM, a wing under NBCC), sponsored by KLBC.
Zuchonthung Ovung from Phiro Village completed his B.A in 2005 from Shillong and pursued his Bachelor of Divinity (BD) from Union Biblical Seminary, Pune from 2009-13. After completion of BD course, he served as Youth evangelist at KLBC for seven months.
Pastor KLBC, Rev. Mhathung lotha exhorted the congregation on the theme “call into the ministry” and reminded that God calls an individual for specific ministry from different churches/ organisations to evangelise to the world.
Citing the examples of Paul, Isaiah, Elijah, Moses and Abraham the Rev said, “God chose them to serve Him in their own generation and they have served Him faithfully and this was possible because of their whole hearted dedication to God.”
Quoting from the bible Psalms 105, Rev Mhathung also reminded the congregation not to hurt the sentiments of the servants of God neither through words or action.
Earlier, Benri Ezung and group enthralled the gathering of believers with a male voice while CNY, Director, Zubeni Humtsoe read the scripture. Associate Pastor KLBC chaired the service and Pastor, Sanis Baptist Church, Renben Murry pronounced the benediction.
