Kohima, August 8 (MExN): The Kohima Lotha Hoho (KLH) has issued a rejoinder to the news titled “KLH asked to prove its allegations” that appeared on the local dailies on August 7.
The KLH in the rejoinder jointly issued by its Chairman and General Secretary has stated that “KLH is an organ of Lotha Hoho, in the likeness of the parts of a human body.”
“When the head is paining, the legs or hands cannot say that it does not affect them,” it said, further stating that KLH, being a vital unit of LH, “has every moral duty to defend the dignity and honor of its parent body.”
“Where is the question of KLH taking extra territorial jurisdiction stand for discharging its obligatory duty?” it said, further stating that the assertion of LPO that “KLH has no authority or moral right to issue press statement on behalf of LH” is “simply unreasonable.”
“At best such reasoning can come only from a limited mind,” it added.
The KLH stated that its press statement is not done “on behalf of LH’ as alleged but performed as a moral obligatory duty, as a unit, in defense of the dignity of LH.”
It said that the KLH’s rebuttal “is to clear the air polluted by vested interest individuals who misconstrued that the guidelines of LH were not followed in the selection of the present office bearers.”
“KLH has also nothing to apologize or prove more than the publicized truth that Sulanthung H Lotha, Ex-MLA and R Ezong IAS (Rtd) have broken the LH Guidelines,” it said.
It further stated that the KHL “demands Sulanthung H Lotha, Ex-MLA and R Ezong IAS (Rtd) to answer to the public whether they filed their nomination papers for LH Chairman Post or not and if not KLH shall have no option but to apologize.”
“As for the legal recourse threat, KLH has no authority to prevent anyone from doing so,” it added.
