Kohima, June 12 (MExN): The Kohima Longjang Senso Telongjem (KLST) annual Jubilee Memorial Education Merit Award for HSLC 2022 toppers was held at the KLST Yim Ki, located in Agri Forest Colony Kohima on June 12.
Er Lanusungkum Aier, Senior Technical Director & State Information Officer, NIC, Ministry of E & IT, Govt of India, who spoke on the theme ‘Nukjidong Tongtetba Shisaluyimer (Learners or students achieving their target)’ said that the theme is not only meant for the students but also for every individual, as it disciplines one to achieve one’s planned goals.
While lauding the successful students, he said that they have now reached a leveled ground, where they have to know what to do to achieve their goals and set targets to achieve them. He added that one needs to work hard, not to lose momentum of their studies and make a decision in their study field.
He also encouraged them to rely on their passion to study and take everything at the moment not leaving it for the next day. The speaker also said, to be a successful student, one should keep a clear goal and focus on it, believe in hard work, stay positive with a positive mind, motivate oneself even in difficult times, always be prepared, accept criticism, and make preparation from the criticism. He encouraged them to be creative and not dull, align their passion along with their studies and advised them to be honest with themselves and with their parents about their passion. He further urged them to plan and schedule their daily routine so that it becomes a habit, create smart goals that are time based and relevant in today’s world and know their passion to move forward and mould one’s future goal.
Meyasenla Longkumer from Lima Aier Higher Secondary School, Dimapur who secured the 13th position in the HSLC 2022 exam shared that from her early schooling till class X, her parents have always been her guide and help in her studies and she too has kept her studies as her main priority with her trust in the Lord. She also mentioned that her success in class X is her stepping stone for her future studies.
During the programme, tokens of appreciation and cash awards were given out to 11 successful students.
