Kohima, October 1 (MExN): The Kohima Lotha Student's Union (KLSU) today celebrated its 43rd annual social meet cum fresher's day 2016 with Sr. News Reader, Regional Unit AIR Kohima, Jonas Yanthan as the chief guest and Yanithung N Ngullie, EAC, Mopong, HQ as the guest of honour at State Academy hall.
Speaking at the occasion, Jonas reminded the students that in life we face lots of problems and difficulties but to find a solution to all that God has given us reasoning power. “Our only desire in life is to bring peace and progress in our society and it can be achieved only through justice and truthfulness,” he added. He urged the students to be a reader to enrich their heart and mind with wisdom and one can become a good leader in the society. Jonas further challenged them to expect the worst from other and to their best to bring a change in the society.
Former NSF, General Secretary, Ejanthung Ngullie, who was the theme speaker of the day, expressed that having a mere degree one is not qualified in all things. Stressing on the theme ‘Discover Beyond’ Ejan, urged the students to discover and recognise oneself beyond the academic knowledge and the talent one possess. Representatives of Kohima Lotha Hoho and Kohima LothaEloe Ekhung and Lotha Student's Union President, Amos Odyuo delivered short speeches.
