KMC Administrator not COVID-19 positive

Kohima, July 3 (MExN): Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) Administrator, Kovi Meyase today dispelled rumours on social media that he along with an official from the district administration had tested positive for COVID-19. Meyase issued a statement in this regard and informed that while one official from the Kohima Smart City had tested positive on July 1 and was admitted to a COVID hospital. He said that contact tracing was done on the same evening, following which all 56 persons who were listed as primary contacts were tested at the BSL-3 lab at NHAK on July 2. "Our test results have all been declared as negative," he informed.


Meanwhile, Meyase informed that both he and his wife were listed as primary contacts will now remain under home isolation for at least 5-7 days, following all due precautionary measures as per protocol and guidelines.
