KOHIMA, JULY 12 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has issued a warning regarding the improper disposal of dead pigs at the KMC Landfill in Dzürüzou. In a circular, KMC Administrator T Lanusenla Longkumer highlighted that dead pigs are being dumped at the landfill without prior permission or notification, posing a serious risk of contamination and disease spread. "This careless behavior will lead to contamination and the spread of known and unknown diseases, even among humans," the circular stated. The KMC mandated that all individuals must obtain prior permission and adhere to proper precautionary measures when disposing of animal carcasses at the landfill.
