KMC constructs public toilet

Kohima, February 4 (MExN): A newly constructed public toilet was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS at DC’s office compound on February 4. It was constructed by Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) under Swachh Bharat Mission, Urban Department.
As per DIPR report, while inaugurating the public toilet, the DC appreciated the efforts of the Urban Department through KMC for constructing such facility for the public. He acknowledged the KMC for taking the initiative in constructing the toilet in an important location where many offices are located.
Gregory further said that services of different facilities needs to be made available to the public however, it is also the bounden duties of the public to have a sense of paying something in return for the services rendered by the government or by any agency, he noted. He assured to extend all possible support to KMC in wherever the district administration's service is required.
The Administrator KMC and CEO KSCDL, Kovi Meyase informed that the construction was undertaken on August 22, 2019 and completed on November 17, 2019 within four months time and further hoped that it would serve the public.
