Kohima, July 19 (MExN): A felicitation cum coordination meeting of the councillors and staff of the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) was convened at the Capital Convention Centre, Kohima on July 19. The event was chaired by T Lanusenla Longkumer, Administrator of KMC.
A DIPR report stated that the programme commenced with an invocation pronounced by Ketholelie Seletsu, Accountant of KMC. This was followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Administrator Longkumer. Zakiekhotuo Kiso, Office Secretary, then presented a brief history and overview of the Kohima Municipal Council.
Speeches were delivered by Neikhozo Suokhrie, Chairperson of KMC, and Khrielevi Chüsi, Deputy Chairperson. The event also saw sharing of insights from Vimhalie Pienyü, Councillor of Ward 5, and Aneiü Khaming, Councillor of Ward 16, who shared their perspectives on the council's future initiatives and community engagement strategies.
