KMC directs to keep dogs vaccinated and chained

Kohima, May 7 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has informed the public that all dogs within the municipal jurisdiction should be kept vaccinated and chained. Dogs let loose and unchained are creating havoc in the garbage accumulated areas and also putting the safety of the public at risk, informed Elizabeth Ngully, Administrator, KMC, who also reminded the public that the dog impounding started by KMC is still in force.

“Any dog found wandering unattended will be impounded and kept in the dog shelter/pound at Kohima Municipal Chaü Parking for a period of seven days during which the concerned owner may claim his/her dog on production of proper documents after paying all necessary expenditures and fines,” stated the press release.

The KMC, further requests the general public to cooperate with Kohima Municipal Council in keeping the town clean and safe.
