Kohima, March 17 (MExN): Administrator and Returning Officer, Kohima Municipal Council, T Lanusenla Longkumer through a notification informed that the ULB Election is to be held for a member to Ward Nos.1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 of Kohima Municipality with Ward Nos. 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 reserved for women.
It has been informed that the Nomination papers may be delivered by the candidate or his proposer to the Kohima Municipal Council Returning Officer L Lanusenla Longkumer or to Limakumla Pongener, Assistant Returning Officer at the Office Chamber of the Administrator, Office of the Kohima Municipal Council, New Super Market Complex, Kohima between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm on any day (other than public holiday) from April 3 (Monday) and not later than April 10 (Monday). The notice also informed that Forms of Nomination papers may be obtained at the place and times aforesaid and the Nomination Papers will be taken up for scrutiny on April 12 and 13/04/2024 at the Office Chamber of Administrator & Returning Officer, Office of the Kohima Municipal Council, Kohima, Nagaland.
The notice further said that Notice of Withdrawal of candidature may be delivered by a candidate or his proposer or his Election Agent (who has been authorised in writing by the candidate to deliver it) to the Office specified in paragraph (2) above at his Office before 3:00 pm on April 24 (Monday) and in the event of the election being contested the poll will be taken on May 16 between the hours 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM
