Kohima, September 23 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) in co-ordination with State Animal Welfare Advisory Board Nagaland (SAWAB-N) will be observing World Rabies Day on September 28, 11:00 am at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima. All the wards under Kohima Municipal Council have been requested to send two representatives each to attend the function.
Further, in observance of the World Rabies Day, all the wards have been requested to arrange a place for conducting free anti rabies vaccination with effect from September 29, 7:00 am onwards as per the schedule given below.
Schedule for free anti rabies vaccination:
• September 29: High School at panchayat hall, Bayavu at Bayavu School, North Block at panchayat hall, Naga Bazar at panchayat hall, Kitsubozou at panchayat hall.
• September 30: D’ Block at panchayat hall, Daklane at panchayat hall, New Market at panchayat hall, Midland at APO hall ground floor, Hospital colony/ Officer’s Hill colony at TT stadium.
• October 1: PWD at panchayat hall, Upper Chandmari near panchayat hall, Lower Chandmari at T. Junction, Porterland at panchayat hall, AG colony at panchayat hall.
• October 3: New Minister’s Hill at panchayat hall, Agri/forest/electrical & Mewibogei colony at panchayat hall, Paramedical at panchayat hall, PR Hill at near Hotel Fira junction.
• October 4: KMC office - Anyone who had missed out may avail the vaccination from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
