
KOHIMA, JULY 17 (MExN): In light of certain concerning issues which will have adverse effect on the health of citizens, the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) today issued an order for information and compliance of all concerned.
The order stated that the date of packing and best before date should be clearly mentioned in packaged drinking water jars.
Old worn out water jars should not be used.
Bakeries, confectioners and home based food businesses selling baked items, namkeen, pickle and other home produced food items should mandatorily mention FSSAI No. along with correct date of manufacture and best before date in the label.
Non adherence to the above will lead to confiscation of goods, penalty and even cancellation of Trade Licence, according to KMC administrator T Lanusenla Longkumer.
