Kohima, June 9 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) today organized an awareness programme on waste management and clean air at KMC office, Kohima.
This programme was conducted for sanitation drivers, workers of both KMC and ward/village and KMC sweepers. The participants were briefed on segregation of waste, illegal dumping, littering, safety measures and effects of air pollution, according to KMC administrator T Lanusenla Longkumer.
Medical camp was also conducted in collaboration with Urban Primary Health Centre, Seikhazou and Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK). Altogether, 101 persons availed the facilities of the medical camp. Basic safety/work gear was also distributed to all attendees.
