Kohima, November 21 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has informed that it will, along with the District Administration and the Police, seize/clear building materials/loose earth obstructing normal flow of both traffic and pedestrians on the road/footpath within its jurisdiction from 5:00 pm onwards of November 23. A press release from the KMC stated that this decision is as per an earlier directive and notification issued by District Administration and the KMC on the same. An inspection team has already identified the owners of such materials, the release stated and added that the expenditure incurred for transporting/labour charge etc. will be reimbursed from the concern individual/party along with an additional penalty of Rs. 2000 as per Nagaland Municipal Act 2001.
