FIRST SEMI-FINAL MATCH
The first semi-final match was played between Lhomithi Sporting Club and Blue Star Cricket Club. Blue Star batted first scoring 176 runs. Chubon was the highest scorer with 35 runs,while Santosh and Baby each scored 33 runs. Badal of LSC got 2 wickets. In response the Lhomithi Sporting Club were all bowled out in 20 overs with only126 runs on the board. Hemari was the most successful batsman of the LSC with 27 runs. Wapang of Blue Star was declared the Man of the match for his 4 wickets. Whereas before declaring the semi-finals open, the match patron Shri. Hokito Tissicca, class-1 contractor from Naga Constructions Pvt. Ltd. in his speech said that Cricket which is a very popular sport is played by young and old of all walks of life, some for fun, some for exercise and some seriously take it up as a career and should be played in the true spirit of sportsmanship in this tournament and always. He further encouraged the Knights Club to promote such activities in the future and praised the Knights Club for bringing good name to Thahekhu Village by organising this successful event which is creating opportunities for youngsters to hone their talents. SECOND SEMI-FINAL MATCH
The second semi-final match was played between Thahekhu XI and Spark Cricket Club. Thahekhu XI batted first and scored a formidable 155 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Raja and Hekavi who each scored 32 runs were the highest scorers and were supported well by the remaining batsmen who all chipped in to the score board, while Nayan and Ritesh of Spark C.C shared 2 wickets each. In reply the Spark C.C who were faced with the daunting task of chasing a big total were all out in 11 overs unable to negotiate with the great bowling from the opposition team who made light work of them. Opener Ritesh was the only batsman from Spark C.C who managed to reach the double figures with his quick fire 24 runs. Man of the match was awarded to Ratan of Thahekhu XI for his excellent performance with both the bat(29 runs) and ball(4 wickets). Kumar Rai, Senior Accountant, Treasury Dept. was the match patron and while appreciating the well organized event and the participating teams donated a sum of Rs.10000 towards the success of the event.
