‘Know your goals and work towards it’

Governor PB Acharya and his wife Kavita Acharya visit Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home 

Kohima, June 22 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya and his wife Kavita Acharya visited the Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home on June 22. 

Interacting with the children of the home, Acharya stated that everyone was equal and called on to enrich their knowledge by reading books and studying hard so as to stand on their own once the time comes. “Know your goals and work towards achieving it,” he stated.   

According to PRO to Governor, Acharya harped on the importance of skill development and skill courses. Stating that a saturation point had arrived in the government sector, Governor Acharya encouraged the children to be ready for entrepreneurship and skill related jobs. No work is small and work is worship, he added.

Governor Acharya also called on the management to know the need of the society and to guide the children in the right path. He also congratulated the Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home for give a home and family to the children. 

Kavita Acharya, while interacting with the children encouraged them to be supportive and to be helpful to each other. She also shared a story with the children. 

Director Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home, Neibanuo gave a brief history of their home and said that there were presently 93 children living with them. She also stated that over the years children who have left the home have managed to stand on their own and supporting themselves well.

Governor Acharya and his wife also donated groceries and vegetables during their visit to the Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home.
