Dimapur, March 5 (MExN): ‘The Portrait Studio’ from Kohima opened its branch in Dimapur today. Ababe Ezung, a professional photographer and owner of the studio said it is an expansion venture. Having already made a name in Kohima since 1999, the studio in Dimapur known as ‘Kodak Express Digital Studio’ will initially work in developing photographs only. Ezung said he plans to open a framing unit soon. He is also eager to start a training centre for youths interested in setting up their own enterprises.
Abu Metha, press secretary to the chief minister and a close friend of Ezung, inaugurated the studio located at Circular road. Metha described Ezung as a sincere and dedicated person. He hoped that the studio will not only promote business for the proprietor but also serve purpose to people.
Metha while appreciating the expansion of the studio stressed on the fact that businesses must be taken up by local people. He said that the government is putting all efforts to help Naga youths realise their dreams by providing opportunities under the year of entrepreneurship; and in the past under the year of youth empowerment and year of capacity building. Metha said a lot still needs to be done and with the government’s policy moving in the right direction, he added that the youths must grasp the opportunity to excel.
Throwing in a word of advice for the youths, Metha urged them to come up with new and vibrant ideas so that Nagaland can move forward. He reminded that there are no shortcuts to success except through hard work. He urged banking sectors to extend all possible help to youths who wish to set up their own enterprise. He also appealed to the society to create an atmosphere to allow young Naga youths to achieve their dreams.
