KOHIMA, AUGUST 13 (MExN): The Assam Rifles today commemorated 78th Independence Day and World Youth Day, signaling a day of reflection and celebration.
This event was hosted by Maj Gen Manish Kumar, SM, IG AR (N), at Company operating Base, Councilor Hill of 13 Assam Rifles.
Maj Gen Manish Kumar spoke at the event, reflecting on the significance of Independence Day and encouraging students to strive for excellence. He also underscored the importance of youth involvement in shaping a better future.
The occasion was graced by distinguished guests, including Miss Northeast 2023 Kenie Ritse and Miss Nagaland 2022 Hikali Achumi, who shared valuable insights on mental health and substance abuse. The event brought together students from Kohima Science College Jotsoma, Capital College, Dainty Buds Higher Secondary School , Capt (late) N Kengruse Centre of Excellence and Wellness, Chiswema and Cadets of NCC from Science College creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with various activities and performances.
Students showcased their talents and engaged in meaningful discussions, fostering a sense of community and purpose.
