The declaration of candidature cum campaign kick- off of Atou Liezietsu for ULB election 2024 took place today at APO Hall, Kohima.
Liezietsu will be contesting ULB election as Independent candidate from Ward-9 (Midland) under Kohima Municipal Council.
The declaration of Atou’s candidature was made by Victor Rutsa (Election Agent).
Liezietsu said that he has taken decision to vie for ULB elections to serve the people and to uplift the colony on developmental front. If elected, Liezietsu said, he would put utmost effort to facilitate the public facilities like healthcare, drainage, footpath, sanitation, water, etc. Liezietsu declared that he will execute the developmental and welfare activities via proper consultation with the Colony Panchayat and the public.
Call for free and fair elections
Ex-MLA Keneizhakho Nakhro in his address appealed the electorates to vote for Atou Liezietsu and enable him to represent them and work for welfare of the urban populace.
Midland Pachayat chairman Kopelo Krome also spoke at the programme and stressed on the need to take all necessary measure to ensure free and fair elections. “His victory is in your hand,” said Medotso Tase and appealed the public to help Liezietsu to win the election.
Khrienuo Liezietsu and Neituoselie Liezietsu also sought people’s support for Atou in the upcoming election, scheduled for June 26.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Keneizelie Tachii.
