Kohima, May 31 (MExN): The Kohima Bible College (KBC) 49th graduation programme was held at Multipurpose Hall, IG Stadium Kohima on May 31. 

The guest speaker Rev Dr Mati Joseph, former Registrar, KBC (1974-1984) and Missionary in his address said, “The way to religion is by man but the way to heaven is made by God and it is Jesus who paved the way therefore, preach Jesus Christ, and not denomination and religion.”

“We need revival,” he stressed adding, “Nobody knows the day of the coming of the Lord but it is a sign when the church goes on spiritual revival.” 

To the graduates he said that God has a purpose and it is to be the soul winner, stated a press release. “Being precious in the sight of Him, He did not see your education and family background but as He loved them, He had called them to the ministry and that the grace of God is upon them which will guide them to fulfill His purposes,” he stated. 

In his valedictory message, Rev Joseph shared some practical suggestions to have an impactful ministry, which he stated are “Knowing the word of God, obey and live it is the most impactful. Remain a student of the Bible throughout your lives.”

Further, to have that impact, “one must have  personal relationship intact with God, have vision for lost souls, Fast and pray for the lost soul Live by faith and live a holy and righteous life,” he added. 

The programme was chaired by Thejavizo Sopfünuo, Assistant Professor, KBC and speech on behalf of the graduating students was said by Keneingunuo Kezo (M. Div).

R Bendang Kichu, Academic Dean, KBC led the presentation of awards and certificates which were conferred to the graduating students by Rev Zotuo Kiewhuo, Principal, KBC and Senior Pastor, Koinonia Baptist Church and Abei-ü Neihulie, President, Managing Board, KBC.

A total of 66 students graduated with 30 students in M.Div, 1 student in M. Div (Diploma), 4 in Master of Divinity (extension), 24 in Bachelor of Theology, 7 in Bachelor of Theology (Diploma).
