Kohima Central Cable, Symbios, Realtel adopts Old MLA Hostel Junction area

Three private agencies including church, taxi drivers and vegetable vendors today extended its support to the cleanliness drive of Kohima Smart City Development Limited (KSCDL) by undertaking social work at Old MLA Hostel Junction area here.
They have pledged for its maintenance and beautification by adopting the area.
Kohima Central Cable, Symbios Creations (P) Ltd and Realtel has adopted Old MLA Hostel Junction area till TCP gate by entering into a written agreement with Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) to maintain the area.
Starting today, they will undertake social work from time to time to keep the area neat and clean.
Vegetable vendors, Kohima Ao Baptist Church and local taxi-drivers around the Old MLA Hostel Junction have also pledged their support by joining the social work today.
While the adoption of public places in Kohima by organizations other than KMC is the first of its kind, KMC administrator and KSCDL CEO Kovi Meyase hoped that more organizations will be encouraged to come forward and offer their invaluable services for securing clean environment.
Azungla, a participant of the combined social work said "Even if KMC is primarily tasked with the maintenance and cleanliness of public places, the responsibility falls on each and every citizen also.”
