Students participate in a tug-of-war competition during the Kohima College 55th annual sports meet which got underway on October 18.

KOHIMA, OCTOBER 18 (MExN): Kohima College commenced its 55th annual sports meet on the theme "Beyond the Game; Inspiring Greatness, Instilling Values" at the college ground on October 18. The opening ceremony of the three-day event was graced by Keneileisa Neikha, Vice Principal, Kohima College, as special guest.
In his speech, Neikha encouraged all the students to participate in extracurricular activities, emphasizing that such involvement contributes to their all-round development, enabling them to become well-rounded citizens and effective leaders. He further highlighted the rich legacy of Kohima College, where past students have gone on to become educators, administrators, sports people, and theologians. He urged the current students to uphold this college legacy and honor its history.
Neikha also exhorted all the competitors, officials, and cheerleaders to showcase their talents with sportsmanship and create pleasant memories of their time at the college.
Dr Vitsosie Vüprü, Principal, Kohima College, in his address, encouraged everyone present to actively participate and support the event by being physically present throughout. He extended his best wishes for the success of the 55th Kohima annual sports meet.
