Kohima College principal retires after 29 yrs of service in higher edu

Kohima, May 1 (MExN): Kohima College organised the ‘farewell homage’ function for its outgoing principal, Dr M Libanthung Ngullie, Associate Professor on May 1. 

The Kohima College mass media cell in a press release stated that the programme was organised to appreciate his 29 years of service in higher education. Dr Ngullie had served as principal at Wangkhao College, Dimapur College, Mt Tiyi College and Kohima College.

Dr Ngullie in his speech expressed gratitude and honour for the privilege of retiring as the Principal of Kohima College.

He encouraged the faculties by stating, “For every student that passes through your hands, you will be called to account. Therefore, however short our time; let us do our best for the betterment of our students and for the glory of God.”

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Kohima College, Vice-Principal, Keneilesa Neikha. Special songs dedicated to him were performed by Dr Visiezolie Yashu, Asst Professor, Kohima College and Lepenthe of BA 4th semester. 

Dr Priscilla Lotha, Associate Professor; Kohima College Students’ Council, General Secretary Hyulo Tsela; Abeni Zuchamo, Associate Professor, and Kewetshupe Lohe, Sr Head Assistant spoke during the occasion. 

Kenielesa Neikha, Vice-Principal, Kohima College gave the vote of thanks and also wished him an equally fulfilling retirement life as a contributing member of society. The closing prayer was pronounced by Dr. Ketoukhrie-ü.
