KOHIMA, APRIL 17 (MExN): In view of the heavy traffic congestion in and around Kohima town especially during peak hours, the Kohima Deputy Commissioner today informed that entry of heavy goods vehicles (trucks/dumpers) in to Kohima town is hereby strictly prohibited from 6:00 am till 7:00 pm. “Further all permits issued to private and Government vehicles (trucks/dumpers) from this office to ply within the restricted hour stands cancelled,” an order from the Kohima DC stated. It added that any violation to this order will invite stern penalty under relevant provisions of the law.
