Kohima, June 2 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, has informed that nominations have been invited for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) Award 2026 following a communication from the Ministry of Women and Child Development received through the Social Welfare Department, Kohima.
According to a DIPR report, the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is a national award presented annually to recognise children below 18 years of age as on July 31, 2026, for outstanding achievements and contributions. The award recognises exceptional accomplishments in the fields of bravery, social service, environment, sports, art and culture, and science and technology.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that nominations will remain open till July 31, 2026. Applications may be submitted either by the children themselves or by third parties.
Nominations can be submitted online through the National Awards Portal under the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Puraskar Portal.
