Kohima, February 14 (MExN): In view of the retrieval operation of a pontoon cargo from the accident site near the FCI Godown, Phesama using a heavy-duty crane, the section of National Highway-2 (NH-2) will remain completely closed to all forms of traffic from 12:00 midnight on February 15 (Sunday) to 5:00 AM on February 16 (Monday), officials said.
As per the advisory issued by B Henok Buchem, NCS, Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, light motor vehicles (LMVs) will be diverted via Phesama–Pfuchama–Lerie–NH-2. However, movement of all heavy motor vehicles (HMVs) will remain suspended during the closure period.
Commuters have been urged to plan their journeys accordingly and avoid the affected stretch of NH-2 until the retrieval operation is completed.
