Kohima District Cricket Association new logo unveiled

KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 11 (MExN): The new logo of the Kohima District Cricket Association (KDCA) was unveiled by its Advisors Keviselhou Sekhose and Viketho Kechü at The Guardian Hotel & Restaurant, Kohima on November 8. 

At the unveiling programme, Mengu Sakhrie, KDCA president briefed on the need for the new logo stating that the old one had some outdated elements like the old Kohima map which contained the current district of Kohima, Dimapur and Tseminyu. 

He also informed that an inter-club T20 tournament will be organized shortly for Kohima district starting from November 21 onwards at Jakhama village ground with 8 teams vying for the trophy. Concurrently, a 3-day coaching camp for sub-junior boys and girls would be conducted at the same venue alongside the tournament.  

KDCA general secretary, Keneilhouzo Sekhose gave a brief report on the activities of the association. He highlighted on the trial camps conducted by the association where more than 80 participants took part. Fourteen (14) boys and 4 girls have been selected under various categories to represent Nagaland Cricket Team for the season 2023-24. Sekhose also announced that 7 practice nets have already been set up in Kohima districts by the Nagaland Cricket Association and a further 6 practice nets would be set up shortly.
