The Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) hosted a grand felicitation ceremony on May 31 at Mhacha Ki (Bypass), Kohima, to honour the Kohima District Veteran Football Association (KDVFA) for their victory in the recent 12th Nagaland Inter-District Veteran Football Tournament 2025 held at Mhainamtsi, hosted by the Peren District Veteran Football Association.
The event, attended by football enthusiasts, community leaders, and well-wishers, began with an invocation by Pudil Tsükrü, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by M Mathew Yhome, President of KDFA.
In his address, Yhome highlighted the dedication, discipline, and sportsmanship exhibited by the KDVFA team, praising their exemplary performance throughout the tournament.
Acknowledgement remarks were delivered by Neidilhoutuo Sechü, who expressed gratitude to all who supported the team, including coaches, organizers, and the local community.
Speeches were also delivered by the Presidents of both KDVFA and the Nagaland Veteran Football Association (NVFA), who applauded the players for their commitment to the game and emphasized the role of veteran football in promoting active lifestyles and community spirit.
