Our Correspondent Kohima | November 25 The 5th Open Kohima District Volleyball Championship commenced today at Kohima Local Ground under the theme “Transcending through sports.” A total of 23 teams, including 15 men and eight women’s teams, are taking part in the four-day tournament being organised by the Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA). The inaugural function was graced by Neise Mechülho, Retd. Director, Government of Nagaland, as the chief guest. In his address, Mechülho encouraged the need to take part in games and sports activities as it has become an essential part of our lives. “The importance of games and sports is embracing us more and more, and we can in no way undermine it. We must take the challenge to harness its numerous benefits,” he stated.
