
Kohima, August 24 (DIPR): The Kohima District Disaster Management Authority quarterly meeting was held on August 24 at the DC Kohima Conference Hall, with Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS, chairing the meeting.
The DC informed that the formats are to be filled by the line departments, agencies, organizations and the whole exercise will be coordinated uniformly by the District Collector. The agenda discussed in the meeting included Village Disaster Management Authority, Indian Disaster Resource Network and monsoon damage in the district and various department reports on Monsoon Disaster Management.
DIO, Kohima, Lorin said that the District Magistrate is the only authority to coordinate with the line department and highlighted the State level coordination for building inventory data base, data entry through online application and the data collection in paper formats.
Various departments like R&B, EE Power, PHE, Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx), Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) and other departments presented reports initiated by their department during the monsoon damage. The Deputy Commissioner informed the members to update the format and to submit to DC office on or before September 15, 2017.
