
Kohima, December 15 (DIPR): The monthly Meeting of Kohima District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) for the month of December was held on December 15 at DPDB Hall, Kohima.
Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner, Kohima first reviewed the last meeting minutes and deliberations were held in connection with the opening of new college at the existing Mt Sinai School Kohima. The Board requested the concerned authority to verify and submit the preliminary report to the DPDB for approval forwarding to the Education Department.
Various Adoption Committees gave their power point presentations and highlighted their progress, achievements and initiatives undertaken in the district. The presentation on Village Adoption committee report on 8th Western Angami Assembly Constituency (Hospital Colony) was given by Neikesono Convener and SDO(C) Kohima, 11th Northern Angami by Seyiekhrielie Rio, BDO Chiephobozou, 15th Southern Angami by SDO Wanyei Wanlleip and 10th Northern Angami A/C (High School Ward) by Kethosituo Sekhose, SDO (Sadar)
The DC appreciated the Village Adoption committees for their services rendered to the grass root population with their activities by setting an example of sense of sanitation and imparting trainings on livelihood in the various locations which is the most effective way to stimulate economic development. He encouraged the Committees to do more significant activities in sensitizing better impact to the grass root population and continue to take responsibility in monitoring and evaluate which the trainings imparted on the communities in order to get actual effort rendered for the interest of the community.
