Kohima, October 12 (MExN): The Electoral Roll Observer for Kohima district, Chubasangla Anar, held a meeting with ERO and AEROs of Kohima at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner, Kohima on October 12. The meeting was held in connection with the ongoing Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll wrt 01.01.2019 as the qualifying date and chaired by DC Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan.
ADC & ERO Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa gave a brief highlight on various activities carried out so far in regard to Special Summary Revision, 2019 and SVEEP activities. In addition, the DC also informed that various issues relating to this revision were discussed in high level meetings in order to address it and further expressed his satisfaction over the revision plan of the district that has been executed so far.
Electoral Roll Observer, Chubasangla Anar, IAS said this revision is basically for clean and fair Electoral Roll where the genuine voters must not be left out and bogus voters have to be deleted. She also added that active involvement of all the concerned officials and political parties is required in this exercise in order to achieve the target.
AEROs of various constituencies under Kohima district also highlighted their activity reports and feedbacks under this special summary revision of electoral roll of their respective constituencies.
A DIPR report informed that Chubasangla along with AEROs will be visiting various polling stations under Kohima district during the second special camp on October 13.
