Kohima, March 6 (MExN): Army Recruitment Officer (ARO), Rangapahar conducted an extensive outreach programme in Kohima to enhance Indian Army recruitment in various categories including Officers and Agniveer.
The programme was held in coordination with Directorate of Employment Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (ITI), Government of Nagaland in Kohima on March 5. It was attended by over 240 eligible students including 115 boys and 125 girls.
The sessions covered on importance and nuances of the Agnipath scheme of recruitment, its advantages, and opportunities post four years and clarifications of queries. Modalities of Officer Entry schemes to include National Defence Academy (NDA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), Military Nursing Services (MNS) and Territorial Army (TA) Service Selection Board (SSB) interview were elaborated.

The aspirants were briefed about the eligibility criteria, application procedures, and selection processes for each scheme. They were also explained about the organisation of Army and types of Arms and Services. Handouts, posters, pamphlets and other publicity materials were also distributed.
