
Kohima, October 14 (MExN): After the successful completion of the first phase of training which was held online, the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in collaboration with the Department of IPR, Nagaland will begin the second phase with the basic course in smartphone film making for ST participants residing in Nagaland from October 17 to 21.
The training is being imparted free of cost as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration which will be conducted offline at the Directorate of Information & Public Relations, Kohima, a DIPR report stated.
The course director will be Prof Ajmal Jami, who is a reputed professional in the field of cinematography, visual content and production and has over 30 years of experience in a diverse range of visual communication, including mobile filmmaking. He also served as HoD-Camera at NDTV news channel.
Participants should belong to Scheduled Tribe and should be 18 years and above. There will be no course fee. However, participants are required to pay Rs. 500/- at the time of registration. Certificates will be issued by FTII upon successful completion of the course. No TA and DA will be provided.
