Vyasan R and other officials with best ATMA farmers awardees during Inter departmental working group ATMA meeting on June 11.
KOHIMA, JUNE 12 (MExN): Inter Departmental Working Group (IDWG) ATMA Meeting under Extension Reforms was held on June 11 held at the Secretariat Conference Hall Kohima under the Chairmanship of IDWG and Agriculture Production Commissioner Vyasan R.
The meeting discussed the scheme of Agriculture Technology Management Agency.
The power point presentation on achievements of ATMA during 2023-2024 and State Extension Work Plan was presented by Director of Agriculture and State Nodal Officer ATMA, M. Ben Yanthan.
Yanthan reminded all the AHODs and HODs to instruct and direct their respective District officials for active participation on convergence mode in Block Technology Team (BTT).
Best ATMA District Award went to Peren District and out of the 556 Farmers Friend, 15 of them, one each from 15 ATMA in the State were selected and awarded the best Farmers Friend award with certificates and citation.
The Awards aim to motivate to continue working tirelessly for the welfare of the farming community and to achieve the goals for the agriculture in the state for a prosperous and sustainable development.
The Award recognised the farmers’ outstanding achievements of their ability to influence fellow farmers in agriculture production through their innovation spirit and perseverance.
ATMA activities magazine was also released by APC during the meeting. The meeting was attended by officials from all the AHODs & HODs of allied departments.
