Kohima Inter High School Tourney: Final matches today

Kohima, April 8 (MExN): TM Higher Secondary School will take on Rüzhükhrie Higher Secondary School in the girl's football final of the ongoing Kohima District Inter- High School Tournament on Saturday here at the IG Stadium Kohima. 

TM Higher Secondary school defeated Loyola Higher secondary school by 5-0 in the first semifinal match. TM school player Khrotsho-u Tsuhah scored a hat-trick, Diethosie-ü Zhale added a goal and an own goal from Loyola team completed the thrashing. 

In second semifinal, Rüzhükhrie Higher secondary school overcame GMS Meriema via a 4-3 tie breaker after the match ended in 2-2 draw. 

It was all square between the two teams with Neke Konyak and Dziezechünuo scoring for Rüzhükhrie, while Ahenu and Thenozolu scored for Meriema. However luck favoured the Rüzhükhrie team as they progressed to the final through the penalty shootout.

In the final match, TM Higher School School will play against Rüzhükhrie Higher secondary school at 12 pm to decide the winner. 
Meanwhile, for boy's football semifinal matches, Rüzhükhrie Higher Secondary School blanked Baptist High 5-0. Ketoungulie Houzha scored a hat-trick, while Kezhaletuo added two goals. 

In the second semifinal match, Loyola Higher secondary school overpowered Children Christian School 3-1. Avizo Phira scored two goals and Vikuto Tase scored one during the match for Loyola School. Despite a late goal from CC School, it was not enough for the team as they crashed out of the competition.

In the boys final, Rüzhükhrie Higher Secondary School will play against Loyola School to vie for the coveted trophy on Saturday at 2 pm. 

For indoor game Table Tennis, Girls super league was played between Northfield and Don Bosco Hr. Sec School, while Boys league cum knockout was played among Holy Family Hr. Sec. School, Mount Sinai Hr. Sec. School, Khedi Baptist Hr. Sec. School, Northfield and Baptist Mission School Jotsoma. 

The Girls ranking will be decided from the super league and the boys will play their semifinal matches on Saturday morning. A total of 12 boys and 5 girls are taking part in the championship. 

In Badminton, singles and doubles for both boys and girls have been played and the winners for each category will battle it out on Saturday. 

The closing ceremony of the tournament will be held at 2 pm, and the tournament will conclude with the boys final match.
