Kohima Japukongtsür Telongjem hosts seminar on women's empowerment

Kohima, September 22 (MExN): The Kohima Japukongtsür Telongjem held a seminar at Changki Mentsü, PWD Junction, themed "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress." The event featured Imtijungla Longchar, a teacher, author, preacher, and resource speaker, who led discussions focused on empowering women.

The seminar was structured into two sessions, with Dr. Imnasenla Imchen serving as the compere. T. Rongsenyangla Aier, Associate Pastor of Kohima Ao Baptist Church, opened the event with an invocation prayer. In her welcome address, Ayula Longchar, President of Kohima Japukongtsür Telongjem, emphasized the significance of investing in women’s growth.

Imtijungla Longchar's sessions covered a broad range of topics, highlighting the importance of financial, mental, social, and personal investment for women. She stressed the need for self-care, identity realization, and maximizing one's potential. Key issues addressed included financial literacy, conflict resolution, etiquette, AI culture, money scams, and LGBTQ topics, underscoring the necessity for women to stay informed in a rapidly changing world. The discussions culminated in an engaging Q&A session.

Participants enjoyed a tea break that featured a Lucky Dip hosted by Moamenla Aier, where 20 fortunate women received attractive prizes. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks from Chubasenla, Convenor of the Seminar Committee, followed by a collective prayer.

This impactful event showcased the commitment of the Kohima Japukongtsür Telongjem to fostering women’s empowerment and community engagement.
