DIMAPUR, MAY 2 (MExN): The local villagers and subcontractors of the ongoing road construction from Kohima-Jessami Package V under Phek district have called off the agitation and blockade of roads which was to begin from May 2 onwards.
A press note from the agitating group’s representative, Avi Movi informed that the agitation was called off after a request was made by the M/s Stroyproekt LLC OIA JV Company giving assurance that the matter is sub-judice and posted for hearing in Guwahati High Court on May 2 and that there would be high level discussions with the government and authorities for resolution to their problem.
In this connection, the press note from the agitating group informed that it is temporarily suspending their strike/blockade of roads till May 4 after which it shall not accept any requests from anyone whosever and would resume agitation if the resolution is not their favor.
